KM007-NP

Here is a review of the KM007-NP head sculpt by Kumik. I realized there are not many reviews around on the internet, so here is a detailed review about it.

Overview of the head:


The head sculpt looks gorgeous overall. The makeup on this sculpt is pretty medium. At least it is not over done. The hair covers the sculpt nicely. This is one of the rarer hairs I received on my Kumik sculpts. Note that the hair curls nicely outwards. Another type of hair can be seen in my "Kumik 13-31" review. Kumik head sculpts usually comes with the long curly hair.

 A closer frontal view of the sculpt: Eye lashes are painted on, not real hair.

The side view of the sculpt: It really bears resemblance to a certain celebrity.

Back view: I like how the hair gives a nice round shape to the overall sculpt. The curls also nicely curls outwards. It will be awkward if they curl in various directions. Note this is fresh out of the box without much hair styling. The only thing I did with the hair was to use a toothbrush to get the hair spread out finely.

However with Kumik headsculpts, hair can be sparse in most models, however with this one, we can see a little gap in the head. This can be easily rectified by combing hair in that area. But do note that restyling can be quite difficult as the hair is really meant to adopt just a few hair styles.

Kumik head sculpts do not come with the hair. There is usually a separate wig for the heads, which can be seen here, in my unboxing post of a Kumik head sculpt. Unfortunately for the KM007-NP, the wig does not sit nicely with the head, but no modifications were done on the wig that comes with the head. I simply just super glued it into spot.

The head connector below is made out of a slightly stretchable material. It should sit well with most female bodies on the market.

This picture shows that the hair fortunately, sits well on the head sculpt. Above the forehead, the edge of the forehead is barely visible.

 I use this on a play toy body. It fits pretty well!

Overall impressions

Head sculpt : 10/10

Make up: 10/10

Paint is realistic, make up is not removed even with rough handling

Hair: 8/10 This is one of the more unique hair styles provided. Although, I would wish that the hair was more densely rooted.

Compatibility with bodies: NIL/10 It is difficult to give a decent rating because different bodies have different head pegs length. A simple modification can be done to suit other bodies. However, currently only tried with the play toy and very cool body.
